The need

Charities and non-profits are facing a decrease in available grant money, increased competition for grants, a decrease in donors and difficulty in diversifying their revenue.

The solution

Creation of a platform by which non-profit organizations can access the expertise and additional competencies necessary to reduce their grant dependency and increase their social impact.

Our role

Having been a direct service provider to numerous social enterprises in the city, this gave us first hand experience and understanding of the difficult balancing act of running a charity and a business within a charity.

We worked collaboratively with the team at OCF, the Centre for Social Enterprise Development, Manu Sharma and Michael Lachapelle in the ideation, creation and launch of the platform.

We played both a strategic and marketing role and contributed to the product development of the platform.

On the strategy side…

Charities and non-profits are facing a decrease in available grant money, increased competition for grants, fewer donors and difficulty in diversifying their revenue.

On the marketing side…
