J\u2019ai toujours tendu naturellement vers des postes de direction, mais r\u00e9cemment, je me questionne de plus en plus sur ce que signifie r\u00e9ellement \u00eatre une leader. C\u2019est d\u2019autant plus vrai lorsqu\u2019il est question du privil\u00e8ge de diriger des \u00e9quipes.<\/p>\n<p>\nDiriger implique d\u2019assumer la responsabilit\u00e9 de prendre les d\u00e9cisions difficiles.<\/p>\n<p>\nR\u00e9cemment, j\u2019ai \u00e9t\u00e9 oblig\u00e9 de licencier une personne talentueuse parce que ses comp\u00e9tences ne correspondaient pas \u00e0 celles recherch\u00e9es pour son poste. Bien que la transparence ait \u00e9t\u00e9 de mise pendant tout le processus, et que le licenciement \u00e9tait la meilleure d\u00e9cision \u00e0 prendre, autant pour l\u2019organisation que pour la personne, les autres membres de l\u2019\u00e9quipe ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pris par surprise. Cette r\u00e9cente situation m\u2019a amen\u00e9e \u00e0 me demander s\u2019il existait une fa\u00e7on diff\u00e9rente d\u2019aborder la gestion du rendement.<\/p>\n<p>\nPlut\u00f4t que d\u2019utiliser un programme d\u2019am\u00e9lioration du rendement (PAR) traditionnel qui se d\u00e9roule habituellement en priv\u00e9, nous pourrions peut-\u00eatre concevoir un nouveau mod\u00e8le qui reconna\u00eetrait ouvertement les difficult\u00e9s rencontr\u00e9es par une personne et permettrait aux co\u00e9quipiers et co\u00e9quipi\u00e8res d\u2019aider la personne \u00e0 s\u2019am\u00e9liorer.<\/p>\n<p>\nCe mod\u00e8le permettrait de d\u00e9manteler la stigmatisation associ\u00e9e \u00e0 ces difficult\u00e9s et de cr\u00e9er un environnement o\u00f9 la personne, une fois la g\u00eane initiale dissip\u00e9e, se sentirait soulag\u00e9e de savoir qu\u2019elle n\u2019est pas seule. Comme le dit le proverbe, l\u2019union fait la force.<\/p>\n<p>\nDans ce mod\u00e8le, l\u2019\u00e9quipe tout enti\u00e8re pourrait se r\u00e9unir, offrir une orientation, de l\u2019aide et du mentorat \u00e0 la personne qui \u00e9prouve des difficult\u00e9s afin que celle-ci puisse d\u00e9velopper les comp\u00e9tences, attitudes et aptitudes fondamentales dont elle a besoin pour r\u00e9ussir.<\/p>\n<p>\nBien entendu, pour mettre en \u0153uvre une telle approche, un certain niveau de confiance et de communication doit exister au sein de l\u2019organisation. Les membres de l\u2019\u00e9quipe doivent s\u2019y sentir \u00e0 l\u2019aise pour discuter de leurs points faibles et pour demander de l\u2019aide pour surmonter les obstacles.<\/p>\n<p>\nCe mod\u00e8le remet en question l\u2019id\u00e9e que les probl\u00e8mes de rendement doivent \u00eatre gard\u00e9s confidentiels au profit d\u2019une culture de collaboration, d\u2019empathie et de croissance.<\/p>\n<p>\nEn tant que dirigeants et dirigeantes, nous avons la responsabilit\u00e9 de sortir des sentiers battus et d\u2019\u00eatre plus que simplement des personnes qui prennent des d\u00e9cisions difficiles. Nous devons prendre les devants pour d\u00e9fricher de nouveaux chemins et b\u00e2tir de nouveaux espaces dans lesquels les membres de notre \u00e9quipe pourront \u00e0 leur tour d\u00e9couvrir de nouvelles approches et solutions.<\/p>\n<p>\nVoil\u00e0 comment nous pouvons cr\u00e9er une culture durable et prosp\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p>\nLa prochaine fois qu\u2019une personne que nous employons \u00e9prouvera des difficult\u00e9s, plut\u00f4t que de recourir \u00e0 un PAR, nous nous appuierons sur ses coll\u00e8ges pour offrir collectivement des outils et des strat\u00e9gies qui aideront la personne \u00e0 remplir son r\u00f4le avec succ\u00e8s. Cette approche ne r\u00e9ussira pas \u00e0 tout coup, bien entendu, mais elle devrait selon nous contribuer au d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019une culture d\u2019\u00e9quipe plus transparente et plus solidaire.<\/p>\n<p>\nQu\u2019en pensez-vous?<\/p>\n<p>\nEmploieriez-vous ce mod\u00e8le d\u2019am\u00e9lioration du rendement au sein de votre organisation?
